We are now accepting applications for Youth Behavioral Specialists in our YFS Marathon Program in Wausau, Wisconsin. We are looking for caring, compassionate individuals to join our team. Our team of dedicated individuals are committed to flexible, accessible and family-centered supports and services that honor the dignity, respect the rights, and maximize the potential of each individual to give them the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
As a Youth Behavioral Specialist, you will work with children one on one and/or in a group, setting progressive life goals such as community integration, appropriate social skills, anger management/coping skills and daily living skills. Candidates will be working directly with children with developmental disabilities and/or mental health issues. We work with children who have Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD/ADD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and other Developmental Disorders.
Education and/or experience working with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis is desired- however comprehensive paid training is provided. Hours/shifts vary.
To be eligible for a Youth Behavior Specialist position, you must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid Wisconsin’s driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record and state minimum automobile insurance.
