Direct Support Professionals are directly responsible for the needs of the individual we serve. These positions are part of our community supported living program; employees will visit clients in their home assisting them with tasks they may otherwise prohibit them from maintaining their independence and stay in their home. The clients served live on their own, but have access to staff on a 24-hour basis. The staff coupled with assistive technology will allow the clients to maintain individuality living in their own home. Innovative Services works with Simply Home technology to find creative ways to maximize independence. This may be done through assistive medication devices, on call pendants, stove alarms, touch button thermostat control, etc.
Direct care duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting clients with all activities of daily living including hand-on personal cares, administering medications, assisting with cleaning and cooking meals, accompanying to medical appointments, and monitoring basic wellness of individuals. Individuals interested must have the ability to separate each client’s needs. Each client we serve through this model has specific outcomes that we help support. Those who may thrive in this position will have the ability to adapt to changes quickly, the ability to respect choices of others even if it’s opposite of one’s own beliefs, work in a quick paced and fluctuating environment, have the ability to problem solve, etc.
Transportation into the community is done using company a vehicle. Utilizing a personal vehicle may be needed in rare circumstances. Applicants must be able to provide proof of state minimum vehicle insurance. Mileage reimbursement is provided, while transporting clients in personal vehicle.

To be approved for a transfer, you must meet the following specifications:
- Be out of your 90 day introductory period.
- Be in good standing (no disciplinary action in last 6 months beyond written).
- Have been at current program for 90 days.
These transfer requests are good for 6 months and final approval lies with Program manager and District manager.
