Starting pay for this position ranges between $10.75 to $15.00 an hour. A higher wage is based on a candidate having a qualifying degree in Human Services or Education. You must be able to provide the proper proof of credentials to start at the higher wage.

Our offices are located in Kimberly, but we currently serve children in several areas: Oshkosh, Winneconne, Chilton, Brillion, Neenah, Appleton, Kimberly, Kaukauna, New London, and Waupaca.  Work locations include but are not limited to community settings, school settings, and individual’s home environments.

As a Youth Behavioral Specialist you will work with children on goals such as community integration, appropriate social skills, anger management/coping skills and daily living skills. Candidates will be working directly with youth individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health issues in either group or one-on-one settings.  We work with children who have Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD/ADD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and other Developmental Disorders.  The individuals served may present physical or verbal aggression towards self, staff, and/or others.

All Youth Behavior Specialist positions require a commitment of every other weekend.  Education and/or experience working with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis is desired- however comprehensive paid training is provided.  Hours/shifts vary, but are typically after school in the early afternoon into the evening.  After 90-days of employment, staff are required to sign up for 24-hour on-call crisis coverage a minimum of once a month which includes some holidays.  We are extremely flexible!!!

To be eligible for these positions you must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma. Candidates must have at least three years of driving experience. This position requires use of a personal vehicle. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record and state minimum auto insurance is required for this position.   Ideal candidates would have experience supporting individuals with a mental health diagnosis.

These transfer requests are good for 6 months and final approval lies with Program manager and District manager.
