Location: Our office is located in Wausau, and youth are served throughout Marathon County and the Merrill, WI area. Services are provided in individuals’ homes and through community integration activities.
As a Youth Behavioral Specialist, you will provide support and services to youth with varying diagnoses (ADD, ADHD, Bipolar, Personality Disorders, Mood Disorder, Autism, etc.) by working on individualized goals such as community integration, appropriate social skills, anger management/coping skills, and daily living skills. Services provided teach these individuals how to manage mental illness symptoms, as well as overcome barriers.
Ideal candidates must have experience supporting youth with physical aggression and challenging physical behaviors with successful outcomes.
Youth Behavioral Specialists are required to receive supervision on a regular basis, as well as attend meetings to discuss progress towards goals, so a flexible schedule is preferred.
To be eligible for a Youth Behavior Specialist position, you must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and state minimum automobile insurance. Use of your personal vehicle is required, so a reliable vehicle is needed. Mileage is reimbursed for travel while working with children.

- Be in good standing (no disciplinary action in last 6 months beyond written).
- Have been at current program for 90 days.
These transfer requests are good for 6 months and final approval lies with Program manager and District manager.
